Practical Experience

In my clinical internships and research, I've applied different orientations pragmatically, focusing on self-awareness and the therapeutic relationship as catalysts for change. I've taken a thoughtful approach to self-disclosure and professional boundaries, carefully weighing the benefits and risks to enhance the therapeutic alliance and client outcomes.

Clients have provided positive feedback on the calming and safe environment I foster, often facilitated by my soothing communication style and the flexible engagement options I offer, including non-visual interaction when appropriate. This has been particularly effective for clients who value developing a sense of trust and familiarity before deep therapeutic work begins.

I have approached my practical experience with a commitment to understanding the multifaceted nature of mental health challenges such as depression and recognizing the complexity of past experiences and their impact on the present. This balanced view is fundamental to my work, where I support clients in integrating their past, present, and future into a coherent and empowering narrative.

My journey continues to grow and learn, as I refine my techniques to support the individuals I work with, always striving to honor their unique paths and strengths.
